best way to synchronously sample all channels simultaneously

I am trying to write code to synchronously sample all the channels in our card 
simultaneously.  Up to now, the best I have been able to do is to 
comedi_data_read all the channels in sequence via a loop, but the length of 
time this takes is far from "simultaneous" and in fact too slow for our 
purposes.

If someone could point me at the appropriate demo/sample code, it would be 
very helpful.

For what its worth, this code is running in a RTLinux realtime thread and so 
the comedi_do_insnlist() function appears to be unavailable.
