Hi all, i have a problem that i can not solve for the last two weeks. I am trying to install 12 advantech pci1762 cards on an advantech 4001 chassis. The sbc is advantech pca-6003 (i dont remember the backplane number now). And the OS is RedHat8.0 anyway, i tried to install the latest version of comedi and comedilib but didnt work. I downloaded the comedi-7.60 version but it didnt support my pci cards. So i downloaded the comedi and the comedilib the advantech company supplied on the net. (unfortunately they still dont add the linux drivers to their packed cds) I have followed the instructions on the red-hat notes of comedi. It only installed 4 cards. I searched for a solution and i found some answers on the comedilist. I applied those recepies but didnt work. Else all this compilation began to give error on kernel and thus on comedi. I re-installed redhat and comedi all over again. And although nothing seems to be wrong (no errors) i cant load the comedi devices. Even the modprobe doesnt seem to see the pci1762 files. When i run the comedi-config it says that it can not find the comedi.o file. This has been a long description of what happened but i have been on the user level on linux system since now and i dont have a clue about kernel and kernel compiling... I would be very glad if i can receive some help. best wishes, Lalehan __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
