interrupt question

Dear NG,

first I'm sorry to maybe ask a stupid question, but after reading the 
fine documentation there are still some questions ...

I'm using an Advantech PCI-1751 card (adv_pci_dio module), which is able 
to generate (hardware) interrupts.

What I want to do: when I get an rising edge flag on the interrupt 
enabled channels (seems to be channel 16, channel 20 on subdevice 0 and 
the same on subdevice 1) I want to start digital dataacquisition from 
some other channels.

There's my problem: if I understand that thing right normal 
dataacquisition in comedi means "polling" - but I want to use interrupt 
functionality, what means, that the data is only acquired in case I need 
that and not periodically. Maybe the feature I need is the external 
trigger functionality (TRIG_EXT).

Would be nice, if someone can give me some hints how to solve such a 
problem.
