Hello! The last days I tried to figure out if comedi supports the 2 counters that are present on the NI6036E card. I'm quite confused by the different mails about the 660x and other cards and wonder if it works for the 6036E, too. The info-program shows me that a counter is present as subdevice 4 (two channels, range 0,1 - everything is fine). But when I read from subdevice 4, channel 0 it first shows a fixed value of 0 <= x <= (1 << 23) and when I switch from channel 0 to channel 1 and back the after a while _something_ is counted (from 1 << 32 down to 0 and wrapping around, indefinetly). _Nothing_ is connect to any input-pin on the connector-box! What exactly is reported with the read command? I use the labview 6.0 comedi-VIs, so there is no additional configuration possibility for the counters right now. But I'm willing to write my own VI or C-program if someone points to whether it is possible _now_ to use the 6036E-counter. Are there any example sources? Can I use the 6602-sources? Please shed some light on this matter! Thanks, Christian -- Dipl.-Ing. Christian Fleischer Technical University of Berlin Computer Engineering and Microelectronics Sekr.
