Managed to get the PCL725 working (at least the inp and outp examples, 
that's all I tested so far) to work with a combination of comedi 0.7.60 
and comedilib 0.7.20.

Caleb and Christian, thanks for your quick replies. Is it worth pursuing 
the problem with 0.7.68 and SuSe 9.0 or are there no advantages over 
0.7.60 as far as the PCL725 is concerned?

Of course, as a service to the comedi community it might be worth fixing 
the problem..
