quadrature support for NI E series in comedi

Hi all,
 
I am thinking of using NI PCI-6024E card for my control project. It needs to use two quadrature inputs, each has A & B channels. I saw 0.7.44 release note that some work is done for supporting that. Does anyone know the status of that? Can I get a card and hook it to my encoders and make them work?
