  Hello sir,
We’ve downloaded the COMEDI-0.7.19 and COMEDI-0.7.60 from your ftp site to use  it to programme  “ PCI-1751 DIO ADVANTECH CO.” digital input/output card.
These are recommended by advantech co. for programming prospects.


We’re successful to install it and  also able to use some of it’s function.

But ,we’re facing some problems which are:::::::::

1.     we’re successful to perform write ,but unable to perform dio  read operation ,software wise it returns 0 as success ,but physically we’re not accepting the data that is being given from external source (2.5v-5.2v).
2.     According to your documentation manual, to use DIO card ,one should first configure the channel as input or output, but  we’re not able configure the channel.it always returns –1 ,showing error.
3.      moreover,subdevice index ‘4’ which relate to COMEDI_DIO subdevice also not returning right results.
4.     and if we use ,.COMEDI_FIND_SUD_BY_TYPE then also ,every time when we pass argument 4 for comedi_dio ,it returns –1 and device not find ,but we are able to find the subdevice as input and output individually using 2 and 3 as index for comedi_input and comedi_output.
5.     we’ve checked all the jumper setting correctily,and set it so that all ports are s/w configurable .


so, please provide some relevant sol. And provide some method so that we are able to configure the channel.

Because ,without configuring the channel ,it seems to be not ok to read the channel,as all the channels are output bydefault(hardware wise)

Also,if possible please provide some example to use the ADVANTECH PCI-1751 DIO card as both INPUT and OUTPUT.
