Hi there, I've been using the Amplicon PCI230 multifunction DAQ for a few months now with comedi, and I was wondering if anyone else on the comedi list was using it at all? The reason I ask is that we need a couple more multi-function DAQs (16ch AI, 2ch AO, 8-24 DIOs, >=200kS/s, capable of triggered burst mode sampling (scan_begin=EXT, convert=TIMER) that sort of thing). Which are the most popular cards (amongst comedi users) that people use? Although we're fairly happy with the PCI230 running under comedi... well... the thing is, there doesn't seem to be much interest in it. For instance, when I wrote to the list asking for help in extending the driver's capabilities, so that it could do "triggered burst mode sampling" I received lots of useful advice from people about how I might go about it, which was very much appreciated. I modified the driver (there were quite a lot of changes) and submitted it to David Schleef, but twice it seemed to disappear into a black hole (I didn't want to send it to the list because I consider a 53kB file too large to be sent out on a mailing list, and I didn't know about comedi's bugzilla system at the time). Whilst re-writing the driver, I also discovered a fairly serious bug in the interrupt handler... I submitted the info, and a patch, to comedi's bugzilla, where it's sat for a couple of months. If no-one else is using (or has even got) this card, then I can appreciate the lack of interest. I appreciate the help I've received from the list in getting things going. I'm happy to help out where I can in improving the driver(s) I use and maintaining them, but if no-one else cares then it seems a waste of time. I'd feel much happier if I were using a card that others were using, and so any problems could be ironed out amongst the comedi community. So, in brief: - Is anyone else using the amplc_pci230 driver? - Has anyone got any recommendations (either in general or specific) for a muiltifunction acquisition card (rough specs above), the driver for which is actively supported and maintained by the comedi group?
