I guess the only thing that would really matter from the perspective of the change that I made was where the modpost utility lives. In my case it lives here: /usr/src/kernel-headers-2.6.7-1/scripts/mod/modpost But this is from the Debian kernel-headers package corresponding to the kernel that I'm running. Does this utility end up in a different place on 2.6.8.1 ? > comedi with 2.6.7 compiled on my machine without any problems. Did you build the kernel from vanilla sources ? Maybe there is an issue using the debian kernel-headers package together with comedi ? BTW, using the Debian comedi-source package together with kernel 2.6.7 doesn't work either. I entered a bug against the Debian comedi-source package for that as well (this is on testing). Might be a good idea to fix that before sarge freezes, would be nice if comedi works on the next stable Debian release. Thanks -- Daniel Nilsson
