Yes, you are right. I'm always using the plain vanilla kernel from 
kernel.org.

Frank Mori Hess suggested to use the build system of the kernel instead 
of comedi's own build system. I don't know how much work it is to make 
comedi work with the 2.6.x build system instead of using configure.

It's probably the right moment to discuss the issue again, how to make 
comedi compile under different 2.6.x kernels.
