Running a Simple COMEDI Program

I am using both RTAI and COMEDI from CVS ... most of COMEDI's user
space demos seem to be working: info, inp, etc.

Can someone suggest the procedures (scripts) for automating the
building and running of a simple non-realtime COMEDI program *outside*
of the 'comedilib' source tree?

In other words, how/where are people ...  installing the required RTAI
and COMEDI modules, running the comedi_config command, and finally
compiling and running the non-realtime program?

I tried to use similar setups that I used two years ago ... but things
have changed too much to use them on the current CVS versions.
