problems with usbdux

To Ian & Bernd

I followed the suggestions and started fresh.
The first time I installed and compiled kernel
2.6.9.
It did accept the usbdux and gave no errors when
initalizing the card.
In the dmesg below one can see some of the
messages generated. The card is recognized and
functions well but when trying to run ao_waveform
the messages in the first part of the caption from
dmesg shows time out and using of different
addresses. I have tried all usb connections on the
computer but to no awail. I get time out after a
while. These messages in the beginning all comes
from the 2.6.9. kernel.
Then I compiled the 2.6.8.1-comedi kernel and the
last part of dmesg registers the card but in spite
of comedi.o present and in ldconfig it gives the
error comedi.o not loaded. As I wrote earlier the
card runs on other computers of several brands.
In the other Dell computer an advantec 1710 board
sits and runs perfectly in Comedi.
Would you have some more suggestions?
The thing I have not tried is make clean partly
since it is not written in the instructions on
your homepage on how to install and run.
