counters on NI-6024E

I'm trying to use the counters/timers on the NI-6024E to create a pulse
train / PWM signal. At this point I'm not quite sure whether I can
actually do this with comedi (and the fact that I haven't worked with
counters yet, doesn't help). 

In case anybody has done something along those lines before, I'd really
appreciate if you could help me out (some code or example would be
great). Otherwise, are there any restrictions in using NI's DAQmx and
comedi at the same time? (I need comedi for the other board on my PC)
