Installing CVS comedi on Debian Sarge 3.1

Hi all,

 

I have Debian Sarge 3.1 up and running with 2.6.8-2-386 (debian kernel) I
have also downloaded the latest comedi build from CVS. What is the proper
way to install CVS comedi on Debian Sarge? Hopefully, I will not have to
compile a custom kernel the last time I did so when I tried to apt-get
install udev or autofs I got all kinds of kernel errors.
