Hello people!!! We're doing a project to work with the pci-ni 6221 card, this project is evident to obtain information of the card for the variable of temperature and translating the electric signals to his equivalent in temperature, but we only can use open source, them nothing of LabView. We found to this project support this card, and We work in debian. We don't know if somebody already did something similar, that you could help us. We do not possess experience in electronics and have a little of experience in C language. Also found this http://packages.debian.org/cgi-bin/search_packages.pl?keywords=comedi&searchon=names&subword=1&version=all&release=all, but i don't know if this means that the driver can use itself directly with pyton or only inclusion makes of libreries work at normally pyton We have to do this: Objective: - acquiring data of temperature of a termocupla in GNU/Linux(Debian) using National Instruments MODELS cards " Requisites: - Investigating which ones National Instruments's models of cards can be programmed in GNU/Linux(Debian) without need of LabView or privative software - Investigating open specifications and closed of the card - Converting the electric signal to values of temperature - Connecting a termocupla to the card of acquisition and recovering the data of the signals from GNU/Linux(Debian) - Investigate similar experiences of acquisition without utilizing LabView or privative software
