I am running RTAI-4.0 and Comedi-0.7.73 on a Fedora Core 5 2.6.17 kernel. I am using a National Instruments PCIe-6259 Data Acq. Card and a National Instruments SC-2345 signal conditioning connector block. While setting up and testing the system I have found that I can output a signal through the analog output module correctly but problems occur when trying to use the Digital I/O modules. I have tried various sensors and a waveform generator to send in a signal and in all cases nothing shows up on the scope in xrtailab. The status LED is blinking as if a signal is coming yet nothing shows up. I have tried running the demo files in comedilib-0.7.22/demo and all the tests read nothing but zeros even while I am sending it various signals. I have also tried sending the signal into a DIO input and then back out the analog output to an oscilloscope, which read nothing. What else should I try to further diagnose the problem? It seems to me that there is a communication problem between my card and the module. On another note, how do you access and use the encoder/time counter module (SCC-CTR01) through comedi? -- Joshua Bailey gtg118x
