Hello, I would like to suggest to have a wiki on COMEDI. Then various people can create and maintain update documentation and COMEDI creators will receive a help from the community and just edit if something is written wrong by others. Right now, writing the driver for a card, I was encountered that even to compile COMEDI with new driver requre to read some scattered readme files in source codes, and decompile several drivers in order to understand what's going on. The COMEDI of course is non-commercial project so it is very understandable that it's not coming with polished documentation. However, in my humble opinion the project will only benefit from good and updated knowledgebase. This mailing list is not too usable as all emails disappear in threads and there is no reliable and structurized way of browse messages. So far, COMEDI is unique, but if some other similar project with better documentation would appear, it may loss its position. For example, Advantech now do not anymore makes comedi drivers, but writes propietary Linux drivers for its cards. I myself plan to make a short step-by-step manual how I modified my driver :) Best regards, Askar
