Hey, I wanted to update my comedi installation to the latest version(0.7.67) so that I could use the comedi_calibrate utility for my PCI-DAS1602/16 board. Once I downloaded comedi-0.7.67 and comedilib-0.7.21, I was able to configure them correctly. However the object files were not copied to /lib/modules/<kernel>/comedi until I did a 'depmod -ae'. I noticed that this was commented out in the Makefile. Why? Was it ok for me to do it? Then I had to still copy the comedi.o and kcomedilib.o objects to the right directory under /lib/moduels/<kernel>/comedi/comedi before everything worked. After I ran the /usr/local/bin/comedi_calibrate utility I noticed that the installation misses creating a directory. /usr/local/var/comedi/calibrations/<board_specific_file> is supposed to be created at the end of the utility. However the comedi directory is missing which has to be created. Earlier, David Schleef had said that this version is a TEST version not to be used in production environment. Is the CVS version now more stable version. When can we expect a stable production version? Regards Shibu Vachery
