It appears ADDI-Data suffers from a common problem companies have with open source -- once they have a product that works, they assume they are "done", when in reality, they need to do the extra step of getting their drivers included upstream. The drivers are not included in the release, because their license status is unclear. Presumably, the code is released under a license that is compatible with the GPL, since anything else would imply that they are violating the GPL in their Comedi fork. However, I need something slightly more clear in order to add the code. This is particularly true because some files in the addi-data directory in CVS appear to be derived from files in Comedi, with license and copyright information stripped. I've tried to contact ADDI-Data about this, but to no effect. dave...
