Hello: The folks over at the Linux Driver Project (led by Greg K-H) are interested in pulling the comedi project into the mainline Linux kernel. Is there general interest among the comedi developers in doing this? From what I can tell, the main sticking points would be: 1. Support for a wide range of kernel versions. I don't imagine that this is a big deal for 2.6.x, but are there a lot of people still using comedi with 2.4.x? 2. Tight integration with RTAI (does RTLinux still work?). I know that this has been an important feature in my work with comedi... It sounds like there is some enthusiasm on the part of the LDP folks for this. I don't know that I'd have enough time to help out very much, but seeing as I was on both mailing lists, I thought I'd get the conversation started. What do you guys think? -Tabish Mustufa
