We have bought an ADVANTECH PC-104 card PCM - 3718H, our operational system is Linux Debian 3.1 - Kernel 2.4.27.
We have followed the instructions listed in the user-manual.pdf from advantech. To compile the linux kernel and install comedi device driver.
We are having problems running comedi driver.
We issue the following comand lines:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
command #1: $ modprobe pcm3718
Results:
comedi: version 0.7.60 - David Schleef
Warning: loading /lib/modules/2.4.27/misc/pcm3718.o will tanted the kernel: no license
Module pcm3718 loaded, with warnings.
command #2: $comedi_config /dev/comedi0 pcm3718 0x300
Results:
..., I canīt detect board. FAIL!
Configure failed!: Input/output error
Check kernel log...
Possible reasons for failure:
Driver not found
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Would you give us an idea why it doesnīt work?
Best regards,
Cloves.
